Smart Four Fun. I’m contemplating the big adventure again. Not being happy at work and at home has lead me to consider other alternatives. No doubt there’s money to be made elsewhere too, perhaps not as much, perhaps more, it’s hard to say. Ultimately I need to take a leap of faith and gamble with it. Whoever said gambling was bad ? It’s not ! Or at least is a means to an end.

Satellite internet might just be dropping to the price point it’s worth dodging up something to get the gear (or at least the gear for ipstar-1), and with no contract arrangements on some of the providers it could be handy for broadband at lans or anywhere …

Not that I want anything to do with lanning anymore that is. I resigned from WALAN back in December 2006 and enjoy not getting the pointless emails every day. Next up is ReloadGaming. I’m unsure what to do with that right now, as I’m not getting the fun out of it I used to, nor is it providing interesting challenges like it used to. Now it’s just plain hard work and takes up more than a whole weekend, and one way or another I end up out of pocket. And with some ass monkey stealing a switch and the vandalism during the December event I just lost my will to contribute. Though despite this I rewrote the registration system (and ultimately the core CMS part of the site), and the result of that is a nice framework that I could use for Whitellama billing and signups. sigh

Work has been so boring lately. Actually what do I mean, it’s been boring for the past 18 months at least. Basically I got told off for coming in late (around 10am). Now I get to work at 7am, and I’ve been copping alot of shit because of it too. But not to worry, I’ve sent off a few new job applications again. Unfortunately all are in IT companies, but still, it’s what I know and are good at. The stupid thing is most of the people I work with come in around 9am, so really I get less overlap now than I did before, which was the only negative point raised about my starting time. Let’s see if anyone notices. Perhaps I’ll get told off for coming in too early.
