It’s now official, I’m on the list of referee’s for CS for this years World Cyber Games, well at least according to this news post.

I had a quick trip the Darwin and back again. The weather was good and I had a good time, but I got sick on the way back and that hurt bad for over a week.

Dunno how I found this, but it’s true. Doing something for pay destroys any outside interest you have in it.

I did a project management course. I have new found respect for post-it notes. As I have no obvious boss again I find myself being micromanaged by a jackass that has no technical clue. That and a teammate who’s on a power trip handing out work left and right. Normally I just knuckle down and do my work (when I have some) and look busy the rest of the time, but this combination is rightfully pissing me off. Add to this the made up role that interfaces between the users and us, except all they do is pass work on without even reading it, and they don’t follow up or do anything else. So basically theres a layer of indirection between the users and me but only in one direction, because going the other way I have to contact the user directly. For Fucks Sake it’s not wonder I’ve gone crazy!

I am going to get out of IT, it’s the only way to stop me from killing myself.

I’m thinking of stopping blogging on this site and starting up a blog elsewhere so I can rant in peace. I might even close up my splat email addresses due to volume of spam.
