The Butterfly Effect was suprisingly good. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, and it was actually something good. It deals with an interesting approach to time travel, though that's not the aim of the film.

I found it quite unpredictable which is a good thing, though some of the sequences are unpredictable due to the violence being depicted, it was well shown and not dwelled on. Ashton Kutcher's role in this film must have been his most serious role to date, his character (Evan) was very well acted and never resorted to comedy like most of his other roles. If priced right, this will be making it into my dvd collection.

Film: Paycheck

Paycheck was shocking. I'm not sure how high up my top 10 worst movies this will go, but it will surely be on the list. I found it totally linear to the point of boredom. The ideas the film was based on were rather flawed, the technology they were using to reverse engineer stuff seemed more advanced that what they were reverse engineering. Oh and the way of viewing the future was believeable until they tried to explain it, then I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Honestly this was not worth the $14 I paid to see it and I feel quite ripped off. I might write to the studio and ask for a refund or at least a discount. Don't waste your time or money on this one.
