Mold

Time has passed again. More so than last time. <deep meaningful mode> So much has passed that significant cosmic changes have occured in both the physical and metaphysical universe’s and the dichotomies within them that affect the ways in which we live our lives. </deep meaningful mode> Or not, though the planet has moved since I last posted. That is assuming the Earth is not flat and is not the centre of the universe. Also a big ask.

Considering I’m sitting out at Iluka typing this I’d say some fairly hefty changes have occured. And you’d be right to assume this is true. Lets see, from the top.

  • Working out at Iluka which lead to
  • Moving in with doc which had absolutely nothing to do with anything else below but I’ll continue to blab on
  • Attending WALAN March/April 2002 at Fremantle passenger terminal which was closely followed by
  • Reload 2.0 where much fun was had by most
  • what else, hmmm lets see
  • Don’t get me started out that dodgy ass Woolworths servo. Lets just say my car has had all of the fuel lines replaced recently and the filter replaced twice. Not to mention the 500ml of black sludge that came out of the (metal) fuel line and sediment in the fuel filter When I find the receipt I’m going to take it and the sludge back and ask for at least a partial refund, if not compensation for the 2 fuel filters and labour to repair the damage done by 20 litres of their shit.
  • Been real busy too.
  • Parents switched phone line to Optus following the 4 months of hell with hellstra trying to get them to change the plan on one of 2 lines to the cheaper one which was what I asked for when switching to telstra late last year. But it gets better, Optus have a routing error in their network so about 10 seconds following the negotiaion of modem speed (noisy part of connection) it just f&(*#@ing hangs up. I spent about 30 minutes on hold to iiBorg trying to find out if they have a minimum connect speed and if they allow multiple logins on the one account. No minimum connect speed unless you connect at 9600 (so there is, winge). Then I persist to go to the site of the problem (parents house) as the account is working fine for me. I spend a further 3 hours on the phone with hellstra support doing molds test after molds test we managed to deduce that there was no problem with the line or modem in question. Following this a call to scum sucking mother f#%@ers only to find out they only work 8-6 but don’t specify the time zone. How helpful. I’m yet to complain to them (a person that works for them) or ask for a job. Oh and the best part of this is Optus have 50km local call range right, well that is if you have an Optus line, which not a single person in Western Australia has so the line has to be changed back to Hellstra (no link this time, suffer) anyway. Argh.
  • Graduation is tomorrow. That is if I post this today (26 April) which I would like to do but it’s looking doubtful now.
  • The Playstation / Nintendo 64 to USB adaptors are here. Fineally at last, that is after being slugged $130 by customs. Winge. Considering the freight was $80 already I think this is very steep. I should have ordered 500 of them and not such a small quantity. A free market economy wouldn’t do this I don’t think. Gotta move to a tax haven and run a shady business. Down with the government, overthrough this false sence of peace and well being … down with society, down with morals down with sorry, got a bit carried away there.
  • I had something else to moan about but I forgot it so it obviously wan’t of high enough quality to post.

Rumour mill: South West Free Net has sort of kicked off. I would like to have a role in this but time and money permitting I guess. Volunteering my l33t skillz may be enough to help this become viable in the area.

New records etc: (bit of a stretch I know but what they hell) Burned 57 Cd’s in under 28 hours. 50 of which were within 24 hours and the spindle pack was empty less than 26 hours since the date and time on the receipt (I didn’t start burning until at least 3 hours after purchasing it). Needless to say I have lots of free space now having got rid of data that I’ve downloaded over the past few years fineally in some manageable format. I’ve indexed the cds but am yet to put them in alphabetical and or date order. It will be done, oh yes, it will be done. This now allows me to do the video editing for WALAN and Reload 2.0 as each tape is about 15 gig of video and theres 6 tapes total.

Bored at work lead me to create this masterpiece for use as a wallpaper. (I’m on an NT 4 box with active desktop that works (well works as well as it is supposed to). Using active desktop to stretch the bmp file to full screen initalliy and then some insanity set in.) Caution this contains an Xp wallpaper and some dodgy ass CSS styles and an appalling gif image. Not recommended for use on a P2 400 NT4 SP6 machine with only 64Mb RAM, but I like to suffer. I’ve been taking a book to work and am still yet to finish it. Though I haven’t been reading much of it lately I really want to finish it. Yes I am still reading
